this is the story of the day we packed up the car and went to the zoo.

September 28, 2012

This is the story of the day we packed up the car and went to the zoo.

My grandpa's work had a picnic at como and bought free passes for their employees and their employee's families, so we packed up the car one Saturday afternoon and went. The park was still summery and the leaves grew thick and green on trees. We had icecream sandwiches (and gluten free bomb pops), walked until our feet were sore, went on ride after ride thanks to unlimited passes (thank you, grandpa's work!) and had a good time. We enjoyed each other and enjoyed the time we had together and enjoyed the day.

I love having a big family. Everything is so much sweeter when there are more people to enjoy moments and collect memories like the bright bands around your wrists to get in the park. Laughter becomes infectious and being together brings up stories from years ago. It doesn't matter if you've heard them before or if they're new to your ears, they become even more special. Family is so good! And I am so blessed with mine.

This is just a little bit of our day and a small story of our family who love and enjoy each other very much. (not to mention tease each other mercilessly ☺)

    1. i really have to agree with ellie.

hannah, i love the way you capture life. you don't over-edit on your photos and make your life seem perfect. instead, you show your life as it really is. and that, THAT, is beautiful.

  22. You capture such sweet simple moments, Hannah. I love this post. The pictures of your brothers with their popsicles reminds me of my childhood summers. I can almost taste how cool and refreshing the popsicles were, that we would get. ahhh definitely brought me back. :)

Love how your family's love for each other and your family's joy is so evident in your pictures.

    Blessings, friend!
