homegrown salad of sorts

homegrown salad of sorts
Fresh vegetables and fruit from the garden is one of my favorite things about summer. It's a quintessential ingredient to a perfect summer day. The taste of food plucked from the branches just minutes before eating is unbeatable. For this plate, I blanched homegrown beans then tossed them with a little olive oil and salt. The tomatoes and salad greens have a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. A delicious addition to an overall sweet day. How was your Friday?

  1. Yummy! I ♥ fresh vegetables too. We have lots of tomatoes this year, and we're making lots of salsa and sun-dried tomatoes. :)

  15. Few things are as wonderful as a fresh garden salad. Plus I think the sweat and work that goes into growing those veggies make them so much more special. Enjoy the last few weeks of summer veggies!
